Dr. Richard A. Steckley Appointed to the Management Committee of Kansas Heart Hospital

On December 24th, 2013, Richard A. Steckley MD, FACC was appointed to the Management Committee to fill the unexpired term of Dr. Roger Roberts who is relocating his clinical cardiology practice to Emporia. Dr. Roberts’ term will expire on 12/31/2014.
President and Chairman, Gregory F. Duick MD stated, “I cannot think of a more deserving nor qualified replacement. I helped recruit Richard to Wichita in 1980 from Vanderbilt University and together we founded Cardiovascular Consultants of Kansas in July, 1984. Richard is well respected by his peers as well as the hospital staff.” Dr. Steckley is currently the President of Cardiovascular Consultants of Kansas and a Board Member of the newly formed Accountable Care Organization (ACO), Physicians Alliance of Kansas. “As a board member I look forward to working with Richard and welcome his leadership skills,” added Dr. Duick.
