The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESRG) recently announced their 2013 awards and named Kansas Heart Hospital as one its recipients.
The ESRG’s mission is to “facilitate and promote a cooperative culture of employer support for the National Guard and Reserve served by developing and advocating mutually beneficial initiative; recognizing outstanding employer support; increasing awareness of applicable laws and policies; resolving potential conflicts between employers and their service members; and acting as the employers’ principal advocate within DoD (Department of Defense).”
ESRG has more than 4,900 volunteers in 54 communities located across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
“As a healthcare institution, we share a bond with those who defend our country both here and abroad as we care for veterans and non-veterans in our heart hospital day-in and day-out,” said Greg Duick MD, President and Chairman of the Kansas Heart Hospital. This year’s award ceremony will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, 410 South 34d, Manhattan, Kansas on Saturday, August 24th, 2013.
