Since 2003 Kansas Heart Hospital employees have generously donated to the annual Salvation Army Angel Tree Christmas Drive to provide toys to needy and underprivileged children in Wichita. “I have been at KHH since 2009 and have had the privilege of coordinating our Angel Tree program. This year we were able to fulfill sixty Angels,” said Teresa Wolfe, Manager of Human Resources and Web-Informatics.
The heart catheterization lab team at KHH donated 125 pounds of food goods to the Kansas Food Bank recently for Christmas distribution to needy families in Sedgwick County. Kevin Hamm, RN and a cath lab employee, stated that the cath lab team “brought in food and I took it over to the Kansas Food Bank” in order to help the less fortunate during this holiday season.
