Hitting The Fairways With The American Heart Association

On Saturday, September 15th, 2012, the 13th Annual Kansas Heart Hospital Golf tournament was held at the Wichita Country Club in northeast Wichita. Douglas J. Milfeld MD, heart surgeon, Steve Smith, CFO, and Vic King, intensive care nurse, were the event coordinators for this special charity event.
“Each and every year I look forward to returning to the Wichita Country Club venue and this year didn’t disappoint. The golf course was in immaculate condition and our KHH volunteer team made it a special day,” said Vic King.
Multiple businesses helped sponsor the event and also played in the event. Nine (9) flights competed in the scramble format and this year’s winning team included Steve Hutchinson MD, vascular surgeon, Joe Stevens, dentist, and local business owner, Dale Stevens.
For the past thirteen years all benefit proceeds have been donated to the Flint Hills Division of the American Heart Association. This years’ amount exceeded $6,000 and will help our local heart association in its effort to fight heart disease.
Vic King summarized the day simply by saying, “I can’t wait until next year!”
